I’ve been using Fundbox since 2020 and have had a great experience with them. The revolving credit has helped with unexpected down time. It’s easy to use and the customer service has been good.

Fundbox has been there for our company from near inception and allowed us to meet short term cash needs when necessary with their line of credit product. Funding is always on time, their App is easy to use, and the reporting functionality has all you need.

If I could give Fundbox zero stars, I would. This has been one of the most frustrating and infuriating experiences I’ve ever had with a financial company. Fundbox sent me an email demanding that I update our bank account information because their system—relying on Plaid—cannot handle credit unions. Apparently, Plaid can’t pull the correct ACH details due to something called “virtual checking numbers.” Whether this is a flaw in Plaid’s system or Fundbox’s poor API integration, it’s not my issue, yet I’m being forced to jump through hoops. What’s worse is the utter lack of flexibility in their process. Unlike virtually every other company—Stripe, PayPal, QuickBooks, Clear.co, Lendio—you can’t just link a bank account using small deposits to verify. Instead, I had to go out of my way to create a new bank account through Square (our POS and payroll provider) solely for this purpose. Even after providing a formal letter of ownership verification from Square’s banking team, Fundbox still failed to make this work. But wait, it gets better. Now they’re asking for even more documentation, after I’ve already sent everything short of my entire life history. Screenshots, letters, videos—you name it, I’ve provided it. At this point, this ridiculous process feels less like customer service and more like being hazed by a financial institution. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. There’s absolutely no reason to pay several thousands in loan fees to a company that can’t get its act together. Plenty of other lenders are willing and able to accommodate without putting you through this endless cycle of inefficiency and bad tech. Fundbox, do better!—or just save us all the trouble and close up shop. --- Update 12/12 After writing this review they closed my account and sent me an email notifying me of this action. There's a signed loan agreement and funds were scheduled to be disbursed to our checking account... no word from them. They keep flagging my review as "harmful" wow... this is the 3rd time I'm posting this review removing any "alleged accusatory terms".

FundBox is a good option for short term small business lending. The customer service was exceptional from the representative. He took care of my needs quickly and even went above and beyond to point out other web navigation menu options that I otherwise would have not considered till a later time. Fundbox comes through when we need it the most! As we’ve paid back our loans and improved our credit status, our credit line has increased. If you can get it, do it. I’ve tried the "payday" loans, but Fundbox is cheaper and easier to use.
