Had my bifold and bedroom windows replaced and the window in bedroom lock got broke still under the warranty waiting for months to get it fixed! First they don’t have it (problem with suppliers) then they call say we got it arranged date for fixing then call again saying no they don’t have it anymore, that hasn’t arrived, just taking a pease all the time ! After installing bifold the door wouldn’t close properly luckily have friend builder who fixed it free of charge other wise would be a big problem with so irresponsible company like this , every time I call with my queries they just talk very rude and hang up quickly don’t give no time frames nothing at all bloody winter is coming and can’t lock my window in the kids bedroom! Avoid this company at all cost!

Workmanship was excellent, quick and clean. There was no mess to clean up. Windows easy to open, keep heat in and the cold out. Perfect for us as senior citizens , saving on the heating bills. Loved the finishing frames and window sill. All in all perfectly happy and would recommend to anyone. Thanks you so much

I had new windows and French doors fitted six months ago and had a problem right from the start with locking the French doors. They came back and removed the top bolt because it was broken. They came back again to replace it and it was the wrong part. I have had numerous E-mails saying that they have a problem with their suppliers, they keep apologising but have still not replaced the top bolt. Their after sales service is needs to improve. I would not recommend this company.

I'm very pleased with my new windows. Whilst I'm not an expert, the glass appear very good quality. One of my neighbours was equally impressed and have arranged to get similar windows. The fitters were excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We have always been sceptical of inviting someone over for a quote on windows or anything really, However when my neighbour told us about this company we thought we would have them over and see how it goes. Kevin who came to quote us was a really nice guy and showed us a sample which we loved. They wasn't the cheapest on the market, but with available discounts not excessively priced either for the quality. We have since had them fitted and are really happy with the entire process from start to finish.

Was referred to Fitter Windows via a 'help 2 buy' scheme. The salesman (although he told me he wasn't a salesman ???) kept referring to the government help to buy scheme which I'm aware ceased in March 2022, so that seemed a bit 'off' - surely he should have known that. The "salesman" spent a lot of time at the beginning telling me that a) he wasn't a salesman; b) criticizing the prices of other well known window companies and; c) telling me about their finance provider and sharing anecdotes of previous customers that misunderstood the agreement and ended up with high interest fees, but it was all their fault. I felt like he was overloading me with jargon, none of which was particularly reassuring or instilling much confidence. He did his measuring then put 2 quotes together. The first was c. £9000 (higher than I had anticipated) and was valid for 12 months. The second was c. £5000 (in line with my initial expectations) and referred to as a yes/no quote which meant it left with him that day. He proceeded to show me on his laptop that this quote absolutely could not be reduced further and no matter how much he might want to call the office and negotiate, it simply can't be done (it was just an Excel spread sheet formatted so the cell could not be amended). I asked him why there was such a difference between quotes. He explained the cheaper quote was inclusive of "additional deductions and discounts i'm entitled to based on the quality of my existing windows". He couldn't explain to me why these deductions and discounts walked out the door with him that day considering the quality of my existing windows is unlikely improve by tomorrow, nor could he give me a breakdown of these discounts. It all seemed like dodgy salesman tactics to pressure me into saying yes to the quote and getting roped into a 5 or 10 year finance plan. There's no time to look into alternative Finance options (i.e. a bank loan with lower APR), compare quotes with other companies or pick through the paperwork as it all must be done during your appointment. Safe to say I said no to the quote, however the salesman followed up with an email (from his gmail account ???) extending my 'deadline' to 8pm when he checks in with the office, and another post-8pm confirming i'm definitely saying "no". All in all, whilst not particularly "pushy" it definitely didn't feel legit and would recommend really doing your financial homework if entering into a similar situation.

I needed 4 windows replaced and found Fitter Windows through the Help 2 Buy Scheme. I’m always skeptical that window sellers will be pushy salesmen but he wasn’t. I agreed on the windows I wanted and the surveyor came not too long afterwards. I wasn’t sure what was happening next as I hadn’t been home when it was done so I had to phone to find out and was told I had to sign before a fitting date could be agreed. The day of the fitting we’d expected them fairly early but they rang to say it was a different team and they’d be later than planned. Once they arrived though they got on with it and the windows look lovely. They cleaned up the debris afterwards. I would recommend Fitter Windows

The salesman Brahim was very experience and helped us a lot as we live in a maisonette on the second and third floor and our main window is 3500 x 1500 mm so we needed help as to what design we could have. We then dealt with John at there office who helped us sort out the final design and managed to give us a small discount. I had all the main window companies in but Fitter Windows were the best. I would recommend them 100%

Worryingly priced. I was referred by "Help to Buy" window scheme. Quoted £48 000 for 8 Roseview entry level sash windows but told I could get a discount for £31 000 with help to buy and a recycling scheme of my old windows. I was given lots of information about price inflation. I asked for a new quote for only 2 windows instead of 8. New quote given for £13000 for 2 large bay windows. I approached 2 other companies who sells exact same windows (Roseview) - Price was around £7500 for higher end range of the same brand.

After nearly 3 months of searching for a half decent window company, with no luck a friend of mine recommended Fitter Homes. I called them and the man i spoke to Marcus was so knowledgeable and very helpful. He answered every question i had and made me feel confident i will get what i wanted. I booked in for a few days later as they were busy (a good sign) Then Kevin came to see me and he was on time and really friendly, he had my best interests in mind rather than the other salesmen i had over who just wanted the sale. Kevin also knew what he was talking about and wasn't pushy like the others. After showing me a sample window which he brought with him along with brochures i was so impressed, needless to say with the quality of the windows and doors, i was really happy with the payment plans they had on offer. I am now just waiting for them to be fitted, the girl in the office has updated me with the date they are coming which i have changed 3 times due to work which wasn't an issue. I would defiantly recommend.

We initially approached Fitter Windows as they were a local company and so thought 'if anything did go wrong, at least they were local'.. how wrong were we. We had all windows and doors replaced in June 2021 and at first were very pleased until quite quickly, we had issues with the windows. It started off with the windows 'dropping' which meant we couldn't shut them, but now we have a snagging list of a number of items... It has been agreed following an engineer visit that 1 window needs to be replaced entirely, our front door isn't operating right, mortar above the windows has fallen out, all windows have 'catched' at some point meaning we cannot shut or lock, none of the windows seal and our back door does not close properly. We have been raising these issues for nearly a year (not all issues have happened at once). We have had engineers cancel a number of times on the day due to sickness, covid etc (we are self employed and have to take time off) and then not received updates for days, despite chasing regularly. The entire company seem disjointed and inconsistent meaning that nearly a year after we spent surplus of £10k, these windows are not satisfactory and quite frankly, not fit for purpose. To add fuel to the fire, I have followed their website process for filing a complaint which states I will receive a response within 5 working days... it has now been 18 working days and despite chasing several times, I have yet to hear from Martin Dean the MD or any management, which is appalling. I am told he has access to all emails I have sent so is clearly avoiding the issue. I am due to give birth in July and have had nothing but problems with this company and just want these issues rectified, so I never have to contact them again! The stress it is causing and financial impact on us having to not work let alone increased energy bills as they are letting out all heat and so am disappointed I have felt compelled to warn others of the quality and service they provide. Furthermore, sadly we feel we have no other choice but we will now be taking our case to the Financial Ombudsman to try and claw back some of the money we have paid as advised by a third party who has reviewed our position. So for anyone looking for new windows/ doors, do not use this company.

Brahim from Fitter Windows took his time to check our windows and doors thoroughly and asked about our needs and wants. Keeping this in mind as well as our financial needs, he showed us appropriate choices and was very helpful in ensuring I was offered all the benefits when ordering our windows and doors. We've agreed to get all windows and doors replaced at a price that meets our means. Thank you for all your help and kindness.

My parents had there old metal windows replaced with new double glazed UPVC windows and doors from fitter windows in our family home. My parents are retired and both in their 80's and have saved for many years to the windows and doors replaced. The guy who came out and measured up was very pleasant and professional and up to this point everything was great. It wasnt until the fitters arrived that this changed, the fitters wouldn't arrive until 11.30am on some days and did nothing but moan and whinge about changing our windows, they said it was the worst job they had ever had ! The fitters also commited criminal damage to some of our very rare plants in the garden, they just pulled them up and disposed of them, they were'nt anywhere near any window and most certainly were'nt causing any obstruction, they also destroyed an ornamental fence in part of our garden. Once the fitters finally finished their part and leaving lots of pvc offcuts all over our drive, we inspected the windows, 2 of which had scratches on the inside of the units, these were replaced but one of them had an even bigger scratch in it which we are currently now trying to get replaced. We have been trying to speak to a manager about the criminal damage for over 8 weeks now, and all we keep getting is emails from someone called Jamie, saying she has emailed the managers and is waiting to hear back from them, my parents are absoultely disgusted in the way they have been treated and are now considering taking legal action against futter windows for the damage that was caused by the fitters. We wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, the fitting service was shocking and the customer service is absolutely disgusting and non existent, avoid this company like the plague, we wish we did.
