The bundles they offer are usually pretty good deals. Especially on games that are 5+ years old. However, it feels like Fanatical's degraded to basically a worse Humble Bundle with the book and software bundles. Except on [other site], I can choose to have none of the money I paid for a bundle to go to developers/publishers who engage in anti-consumer/anti-worker practices. Fanatical does not. I'm no fan of Fanatical's parent company, Fandom, Inc. and their layoffs. But for the moment, Fanatical seems to be a pretty good company. I bought a "Build your own bundle" with the intention to redeem one game for myself, and give the other code to a friend. Unfortunately, when generating the product keys, Fanatical uses your IP to provide a key that works in your region, but not necessarily in any other regions (which was not made clear enough during the purchase); my friend lives in another country, so they were unable to redeem the key, and I already owned that game, so I could not redeem it myself, making it a waste. I submitted a support ticket, and after a few emails, I had a refund for the unusable code within a day. Everything works perfectly as long as you buy and redeem codes for accounts within the same region as your geolocation--just be careful if you are using a VPN or intending to give the codes to friends in other regions.

It was my first time to use Fanatical and I was leery of getting involved in something that would end up causing my problems. Before it was released, they were one of the few (I thought only) legitimate keysellers for Civilizations VII with a discount (12%). I had no problems. I didn't feel rushed. Everything worked on smoothly so I likely will use them again in future.

Wasn’t an easy way to download all my .pdf purchases as a zip file while on my iPhone. Basically gave me homework to do on my home computer. Update: Despite a “support ticket” the downloads continues to contain just 1 file, and the steam stuff isn’t integrated at all.
