It would seem my Trustpilot review was removed (Elan reported it), which definitely raises some concerns about their transparency. They tried to silence me, and others, but it’s important to ensure these details are out there for the sake of those who may be left without their desired treatments. PUBLIC INFORMATION FROM COMPANIES HOUSE UK: CEO, Anna McCartney resigned from companies house on 21/12/2023. Possibly a sign that she knew of impending issues. Head of marketing Charlotte Drysdale started in a new job 29/02/2024 (her LinkedIn profile) just before the closure. Their director, Gregory Bittar, resigned from companies house on 24/10/2023. All readily available information. Their Australian clinic had THE SAME SCAM - they had massively discounted all of the products on their Australian website leading up to their clinics closing. Do a quick search. And the really worrying part? Julian Ameler’s connection to The Smithfield Group, which just happens to own LaiserAid, too (google it). It’s the kind of web that makes you think about the entire operation. Elan has left many people in an incredibly tough financial position, and the only way they’ll be held accountable for it is if people take legal action against them. The media still have an obligation to run with this and touch base with ex-employees, who surely have a lot of active information to share.

I have had a similar experience to a few other people on here. Paid for a course of 8 treatments of laser hair removal to only have had 2. The company closed with immediate effect. I tried to contact them but with failure. Didn’t get any email feedback from them either refund. SCAM

Lost all my money on treatments. I have set up a facebook group so we can discuss how to get our money back. We need to get legal advice. The Facebook group is called Elan Laser Scam please join so we can discuss next steps

So glad I only paid a deposit to these thieves. I have not received any information about them going into administration even though I was meant to have an appointment next week. I only found out as I was showing a friend where I was going. Absolutely disgusting.

Elan laser are a scam. I can’t believe how they conned me out off my money. They charged me for 800 for sqt and 1800 for laser and I got one session off each. Disappointed and disgraceful.

I’m gobsmacked to say the least. I arrived for my appointment today to find the whole place shut down, having had no warning or notice that this was the case. I cannot believe this company has been allowed to treat their customers in such a poor manner, leaving us out of pocket without so much as a FU.

Disgraceful company. I paid for a block of 10 sessions upfront, so far I've only had 2. Was supposed to have an appointment earlier in the week, but received a text advising the clinic was closed due to urgent building works. I called and rescheduled my appointment - only to receive a follow up call to say the building works were still not finished, so I rescheduled again for next week. I just so happened to walk passed the clinic at the Springs today, and saw a notice on the window advising they have ceased trading and are permanently closed. I'm glad I saw this today, otherwise I would have turned up to my next appointment completely unaware! At no point, when speaking to them, was I advised the company would be closing down. They were quite happy to lie to me on several occasions both on the phone and via text message! They should be ashamed of themselves!

Write your reviews on Laseraid - same investors and an operating business I heard from a very good source It was going through a pre pack and the SMITHFIELD group investors pulled out at the very last minite All staff lost their jobs and not been paid or received any notice or redundancy. Investors Smithfield’s didn’t even tell the senior staff or anyone they only found out from administrators. Check Laseraid Uk - same owners The Administrators are same ones as Body shop

I have had a similar experience to a few other people on here paid for a course of 10 treatments of laser hair removal to only have had 4, no word from the company at all for me to only find out when turned up for my appointment to gind a notice on the door.. I will be calling my bank to see if I am due some kind of refund if not and will be contacting Martin Lewis. If you haven't done so please contact your bank you maybe able to get some money back.

Same here. Bought a course of 10, had 2 treatments left and was told in Jan that they have a half price offer so booked a further 2 sessions to add on to my account. Paid in cash so can’t claw back. Disgusting. Also, just been alerted to the fact that they’ve posted a job advert today on indeed looking for therapists. I will be monitoring the original owners and any future companies owned by these thieves. I was actually informed that the business was changing company directors (off the record) at my last appointment yet at no point was I lead to believe that Elan would be wound down and rebranded as a new company. Always disappointed when business owners behave in this way to cheat creditors and clients.

I paid for 9 laser sessions, to a value of around £800, and I have only taken 4. Now I received an email saying that the company is going to administration with NO word of any refund!! I am a graduate who had saved for months for these sessions. To not even offer a refund is shocking to me…. Combined with the rude and abrupt experience I have had with the manager in the Portman Square location, i am just extremely disappointed and shocked by the whole situation. I would expect more communication from the company in this situation.

I can’t even believe I have to give 1 star. Absolute disgusting company. Payed upfront for 10 laser sessions. Recieved 4 and now confirmed appointment for tomorrow and now email to say they’ve gone into administration. £1000 out of pocket and disgusted.

Paid upfront for a course of 6 tattoo removal sessions. After 2 was told that they have sold machine, went to Leeds springs store today as I was getting fobbed off on phone for weeks. Security at store today has told me they have gone into liquidation, lost all my money that I paid. Then receive an e mail saying we are sorry you have cancelled (I haven’t) your treatment and it’s important to carry on with it. They are still advertising offers on their website,What the hell is going on?

Millie i want to say thank you so so so much from the very beginning to the end of my treatment, you made me feel so comfortable talking to me about the whole procedure of the deluxe hydrafacial. I feel so cleansed and light as well as refreshed after. ESPECIALLY being a mum of 3 this is my first treat to myself and it was the best treatment and made it super special because i had you to take care of me. I can not wait to see you in March.

I am really impressed by this business. The facilities are lovely and the staff friendly. Nice coffee when you arrive. I chose the same member of staff each time to do my course of treatment. This was Bethany at the Liverpool branch. She was lovely friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend coming to Elan Liverpool to anyone Christine Olive

I get regular laser hair removal with Lauren and I can honestly say she is the best in the business! I am currently on my 10th session and have noticed such a massive difference even after my first session. Lauren is so informative and down to earth, she makes the whole process so much easier. The session flies by and I can honestly say I look forward to seeing her not just for results but also because of how friendly she is. Could not recommend Elan & Lauren enough!

Hale barns branch I am writing this review to express my disappointment with Elan lack of professionalism and unfulfilled promises. I had a recent issue regarding a refund, and the manager Natali assured me that my money would be returned promptly. However, despite numerous assurances, the refund was never processed, and I am left feeling cheated and deceived. It is disheartening when a business fails to honor its commitments, especially when it involves customers' hard-earned money. The lack of communication and failure to follow through on promises is a clear indication of the unprofessional behavior displayed . I urge others to exercise caution while dealing with Elan business due to these unethical practices. I hope my feedback encourages Elan to rectify their mistakes, provide better customer service, and fulfill their promises in the future.
