I was looking for my driving test and after Covid find a conveniente location and date for the test was simply impossible. I have been driving overseas for years and need to take the UK driving test to get my license. I contacted DTC as an option to find the test appointment and instructor, they manage to find a conveniente date and location for my test but also allocate a really good instructor Manisha, who was very flexible to allocate my driving lessons but also she was very helpful in giving me all the tips and support that I needed to pass the driving test and I am very happy and grateful with her. Definitely would recommend DTC and Manisha to people that needs a good instructor and help with the driving test appointment. An opportunity for improvement for DTC a better communication of the terms and conditions, in differentiate the allocation of the payments.

Wonderful company would highly recommend. I passed first time! All members of staff I communicated with were very friendly and accommodating. My instructor Joe was very nice and calmed my test nerves beforehand. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality of service.

I needed a car for my test and I contacted DTC for it. The process of hiring the car with an experienced driver was so smooth and I also got one hour lesson before the test, boosting confidence and also helping me with the points to keep in mind for the test. I highly recommend getting lessons and car hire from DTC.

I have been driving for a few years and simply need to take the UK driving test to get my license and I booked my driving lessons just one week before my exam date. Although there was some hiccups with my first instructor (she was actually not available for any lessons throughout the week upon accepting), DTC was very responsive and swift to find me an alternative instructor, Rani Gadday. Rani was very helpful in giving me all the tips I needed to pass the driving test and I am very pleased with her flexibility in time and willingly fit me in her schedule even at very short notice. Definitely would recommend DTC and Rani to people who are in my same shoes.

Booked me an instructor who was a no-show and did not take responsibility for it until I got citizen’s advice involved. They said on the phone they would compensate and then lied about it when they assigned another instructor. They cancelled my test without getting my consent first. I’m just glad they refunded my money in part; I had to get the credit card company involved to get the rest of my money (thank God I insisted on paying instructor by credit card and not cash or bank transfer). 2 different times i was yelled at over the phone by 2 different members of their staff! **Updated after your reply.** 7-hour intensive course booked. Your 1st instructor recommended 3 x 2 hourly lessons and 1 on the morning of test. He cancelled one day before 1st lesson and 1 hour before the next attempt even though I had travelled an hour to the agreed location. Who covered/compensated for that cost and time? Your 2nd instructor recommended 4 hours (is this even legal?) and then 2 hours on day of test. I said no to both and we agreed on 2 lessons of 3 hours each (tiring but I was desperate). I booked my first test myself. You asked me to cancel it (after I had contacted Citizens Advice) so you can re-book another one for me as it was too close to the test date for you to find me another instructor. At this point we had wasted over 2 weeks. (I also have evidence of ALL our communication). You didn't not uphold your commitment to provide another instructor at no cost (I still have evidence) and I could not carry on with the 2nd instructor you provided even though she showed up. I spoke to you on the phone and you yelled at me saying "I do not have time for this" and then hung up. Yes I was glad and afterwards agreed to you cancelling the test because I did not want anything to do with your company anymore. Still does not change the fact that you cancelled it without letting me know first. You sent an email after you had cancelled it saying "you can no longer support me and will issue a refund". You refunded the company fees but turned a blind eye and deaf ear to recovering the funds transferred to your instructor even though my contract was with DTC. We can carry this on actually, I did get an email from DVSA customer service asking for evidence if I wanted to continue but I chose not to because I already got my money back myself. Maybe I actually should have, so service providers like yourself can get due sanctions for terrible customer service and causing your customers stress and trauma.

I recently completed 6 hours of driving classes with DTC Driving School and passed my test. I must say it was an exceptional experience. My instructor, Manisha, proved to be incredibly detailed and to the point in her teaching style. As an experienced driver of 10+ years, I found her tips to be invaluable and crucial in preparing for the challenging UK driving test. I highly recommend DTC Driving School for anyone seeking comprehensive and effective driving instruction.

I had reached out to DTC on a Thursday before a Monday test. I was asked to make a non-refundable deposit (£139) before an instructor/car was assigned to me. Once I made the payment, they did assign me an instructor and gave me his contact information (first name only and phone number) but I had to contact him multiple times before he responded. On Saturday, he finally confirmed that he would be available and the make of the car but also demanded his fee (additional £120) payable immediately in advance. I became a bit nervous that this may be a scam and asked for information that would allow me to confirm his instructor status with the DVSA (e.g., his full name and the postcode that he is registered with the DVSA at). He then refused to work with me and asked me to get a newly assigned instructor. Given the time urgency, I made alternative arrangements (through a friend) for a car. When I contacted DTC for a refund, they refused. So in the end, I got no service but had to pay. If you have an urgent situation and are contacting the DTC, you may have little choice. But the contact I had with the company (and certainly with the instructor) felt a bit sketchy. Buyer Beware.

DTC were very fast at putting me in contact with an instructor last minute. My instructor was Manisha and she was great. She was really supportive in the run up to my test and helped me build up my confidence in driving. Unfortunately, I did not pass but that was my own fault. Afterwards Manisha was super supportive. DTC were communicative and understanding. Overall, it was a great learning experience and I would happily use them again.

In my Opinion and my experience with DTC I can say that they are amazing absolutely fabulous they are really reliable Firstly my booking enquiries were answered almost instantly and when I needed a car hire they were there to support me the process was smooth and easy to follow and they were very friendly and understanding I had a test so close and they were able to help me. NOW THE INSTRUCTOR THAT THEY GAVE ME ANISHA GADDAY WAS AN ABSOLUTE GEM AND A SAINT SHE IS REALLY WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH AND I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HER STUDENTS THINK THE SAME THING IF YOU ARE ASSIGNED WITH HER YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED SHES VERY UNDERSTANDING SHE HELPS YOU SEE YOUR DRIVING ERRORS AND GIVES POINTERS ON HOW TO FIX THEM. IN THE VERY SHORT TIME I WAS WITH HER I LEARNT SO MUCH AND I WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PASS MY EXAM THE FIRST TIME WITHOUT HER SHE PROVIDED ME WITH SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE THAT I WILL BE USING IN FUTURE DRIVES. SHE WAS VERY KIND AND PROVIDED EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SHE WAS ALSO ABLE TO HELP ME STAY CALM DURING THE LESSONS AND MY EXAM IT WAS TRULY AN HONOUR TO BE WITH HER. AS A WHOLE MY EXPERIENCE WITH DTC HAS BEEN FANTASTIC THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL AND I RECOMMEND ANYONE WHOSE LOOKING FOR A DRIVING SCHOOL OR INTENSIVE COURSES GO TO DTC!!! THEY ARE RELIABLE AND GIVE EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! :)

Had my driving lessons with Rani and let me just say, she was thorough, she left no stone unturned. She made sure I understood everything very well and showed me how to apply it during practice. She would even send me links to watch. She is kind and will also give you the pep talk to calm your nerves. Thank you for helping me pass my driving test.

Rani was so amazing! I am an American who needed to get my UK driving license and so booked the 7 hour intensive course. I have been driving for years but was worried I wouldn’t pass the practical test because of how strict the examiners are. Rani gave me great direction and great feedback and totally prepared me for the test which I passed first time! Thanks so much, Rani! She’s the best!

The driving instructor Joseph Woodgate arrived late for both lessons and the driving test! He agreed to refund some of the money but is not taking our calls.
