Bought some LED lamps, they cost a bit more than I expected but this place was among the lowest I found for the quality of product I wanted, little disappointed they didn't give a discount on bulk purchase though
I ordered the first Phillips Master LED from this company via AMAZON.co.uk and it took 3 weeks before I got it. I also was under the impression that these particular LED were rare as one could only order one at a time with tremendous postage charges therefore. When I ordered three LEDs directly, there arrived practically overnight and only one (!) postage.

Very helpful customer support and first class delivery
It was relatively easy to order the fluorescent tubes I needed. The main problem is the need to be millimetre accurate with your own measurements. For example the T4 20W 565mm tubes that I ordered turned out to be 1mm too long for my light fitting! This was my error, Downlights Direct sent me exactly what I ordered in a well padded packing tube. Given the time & costs of trying to exchange these tubes, I'll just have to write-off this pair of tubes. However, I repeat that this is my problem and the nature of these products that seem to come in sizes with such tiny variations!

Bought 4x Philips Masterled MR16 downlight bulbs. Order was easy to place (paid with Paypal), arrived after about 3 days as expected. Bulbs were well packed and worked fine. So, no problems on my first experience of Downlights Direct and these particular bulbs were a very good price. 2 things to note for potential MasterLed users: the 10W MR16s seem to work well, but 1) I had to bend the ends of the circular spring clips out a bit to clear the protruding centre sections of the bulbs (heating over a flame and bending carefully) and 2) there is a second or so pause before the light comes on after toggling the switch (the pause is slightly different for different bulbs, which looks a bit odd).
I have used Downlightsdirect a few times now and I really can't fault them. I have found some of their products CHEAPER than my regular suppliers (Edmundsons, City Electrical Factors, Ross Electrical, Electric Center). The staff are knowledgeable and super helpful. The turn around time on orders is reasonable (some items up to 5 days, so make sure you are organised and not looking for an item 'next day'). I've had to return 1 product and receiving a credit for the items was not an issue at all. I would highly recommend these guys!
