I have always had the best customer service from Dover Saddlery ❤️ After having a bad experience with another company earlier today, I turned to Dover, and they did not disappoint. They will always be my go-to company for all of my horse's needs. They also have very fast shipping :)
They claim to extend the warranty on items purchased to 24 months. This is not true. I have a blanket I purchased that was gently used and the front closer just came off (the stitching failed). There were no tears anywhere on the blanket. I contacted them and despite a back and forth, them refusing to respond to an email until I sent it a second time and attachments showing them a picture of their website that claims to extend the warranty, they offer no help. I used to preferentially order from them, but will no longer do so. Update - The back and forth with Dover had been going on since January 7th, but today they let me know they would replace it. They did not have the right size available, but did offer to allow me to return it for credit towards another turnout sheet. I’ve updated it to 3 stars. I would have updated it to 4 stars which may be more fair, but it took a lot of back and forth and persistence on my part to get the resolution.
Just got off with Dover customer service. Bought a pair of breeches on a BOGO. Both were in the cart when the order was put through, with the code, within the time frame allotted for the BOGO. Confirmation email show up and there is only one pair on there. Call customer service. After telling her at least two times , if not three times to CANCEL THE ORDER, which was placed the day before, she kept pushing to accept another piece of clothing instead. NO. Cancel. The. Order. Says she’ll try, and I’ll see what I can do. No more Dover. Not giving my money to them anymore. Not for them to make a mistake and I lose out on a deal and still get stuck with an $84 payment in their bank account while I wait for the wrong item to arrive only to send it back. Terrible. Her name was Caroline. Listen to the call Dover.
I have bought several items from Dover saddlery, and they have been wonderful products. In addition, the customer service is superior to any place I’ve ever bought anything for my dogs. They’re kind, they’re knowledgeable, they actually get back to you when you have a question and they fully back their products via their warranty. I will continue to shop there. I've purchased two pairs of ladies ariat paddock boots in the last several years. Both pairs are rarely worn and not for riding. Well cared for. Never worn in the rain, never left outdoors or in the garage and always in my closet when not used. I'm 70, but I like them with leggings and for ankle support. In any event, one of the two shriveled up like a desiccated corpse. The other remained just fine. I sent photos to Dover and they told me to contact Ariat. Both companies told me to take a hike. There is NO WAY one shoe would remain perfect and another fail if not for a defect. I'm not asking for a refund, just a replacement. This is not a $3500 saddle or a custom shadbelly.. an off the rack pair of boots. I'm done with Dover and Ariat.
Dover Saddlery should be ashamed. Spend $250 and get a $100 promo gift card to arrive via email on 27APR. It did not arrive prior to their tent sale. Nice move, Doper. I mean Dover. Selling defective merchadise at their annual tent sale under the guise of clearing out inventory. Non-returnable. Hahaha! Should have known better. Won't be shopping in their store or on line again. Since being acquired by equity firm Promus last year, everything Dover has gone down hill. BOOOOOO EDIT- dover responds to my review in hopes of creating the illusion that their team will help. My review was posted after contacting the store AND their customer support team. Blatantly denied any help whatsoever. Two thumbs down 👎🏻 👎🏻
What an absolute joke of customer service! I tried to get a replacement part for an expensive Noble Equestrian rug after been given the third degree over when, why, and where I bought the rug from which retailer I used, which email address I used etc etc...... I was told by one agent I could buy one this was after I had happily said I would be happy to pay for it. I sent yet another email asking for the link to the item as I could not find it on their site only to get an email back from a different agent stating that they did not sell the clip I was after and my only alternative was to buy another £200 rug! Absolutely worst customer service I have ever come across.

Ordered a riding helmet for a little girl for Christmas. The wrong size was sent. Kaitlyn worked with me to return the helmet and get the correct sized one before Christmas. Extremely easy to work with!
