UPDATE.. Design Crocx is back under a new name Design Experts Inc. POC is Jason. They are using the same number 862-282-1143
In September 2021, I found Designcrocx online, which appeared to be a legitimate and professional website company, and discussed my website project with them. They promised to complete my website within 60 to 90 days. I made them draw up a contract, and was quoted $1,200 for my website, which I paid. In October 2021, they called me and said they misquoted my project, and I needed to pay an additional $750 for additional work that was crucial for its completion. I did not want to delay my project so I paid it. Then in November, after several months of calling for a status update on the website I noticed a problem. Every time I called they kept on delaying my project on technical details, and after many additional calls and complaining, they finally sent me a few pages of my website, but they were non-functional. So, I called Designcrocx and threatened to quit the project, and that’s when their senior project manager “Tyler” called me. He said the website needed to be hosted on a server to be functional, and begged me to continue. He quoted me $2,000 for a year of a Dedicated Hosting Server, and I agreed and paid it. THE VERY NEXT DAY, Tyler’s assistant called me and apologized that I was misquoted. He said, the hosting server I paid for could not handle the amount of information needed for my website to work properly, and I needed to pay an additional $1,200 to upgrade the hosting server. At that moment I realized this was a fraudulent and fake company, and I was being manipulated to pay more and more for fake service. Six months have passed since I started and I have nothing to show for it. I called and demanded a refund, but they continued to promise me that it would get done, but they could not refund my money. I immediately called PayPal’s fraud department and put in a claim for a refund. Paypal investigated the claim and reviewed my contract, and sided with me and finally refunded me the full amount. I was fortunate to have used Paypal, and after doing extensive online research on Designcrocx found many reviews with similar experiences, and concluded this company is fake and lying to the public.
Run for your life and work with a designer who cares about your website, can write without errors, and is not constantly pressuring you to make your site go live at exorbitant prices. Think I’ll push for refund though I see many are trying to do that. Get in line for refunds.
Design Crocx has failed. They took on a specification and bid the job at 30 to 40 working days. It is the beginning of week 14 and I don't have a build that is worth anything. In fact, my own developers have built out the same features in a PWA while we are still waiting for Design Crocx to demonstrate the same functionality in an APK. They were given access to multiple levels of communication, API endpoints, riser diagrams, and payment in full. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. If you hear anything about progress or deliverables to be reviewed, they will miss their own estimate or just fail to deliver anything at all. I have 2 phone numbers that I regularly try to make contact with DesignCrocx on. More than half the time, those numbers are not in service. After several calls and emails, I discovered that my project manager was demoted and I was given a new project manager. Finally, some progress. It is 2 weeks later and the new project manager is just as bad as the previous one. So I'm out.
UPDATE: DESIGN CROCX = DESIGN CROOKS DISCOVERED THE SITE WAS DOWN WITH A FAKE GOOGLE ERROR PAGE.... DC rep said my site was “not ADA compliant” and that he could install “ADA encryption” and work with the Google Compliance committee to have the site running in 2 hrs. My Friend who is a Google cyber security tech confirmed this was a fake Google error page, and there is no such thing as a “Google Compliance Committee, not ADA encryption” and it was obvious they were hijacking my site. DC Told me that I needed to pay $6000 and they could have it running again in 2 hours (after being told by another rep that there was nothing left of my site and nothing to recover (but they could have it running in 2 hours, after taking 5 months to build???) A couple other deceptive things Design Crooks did: -Told me I was getting 5 year hosting pkg through hostgator (even though I already had an account with them but was told I needed a dedicated server. Paid $1264 but ended up that I was on a shared server through Name Cheap and the credit card payment was paid to Smart Start Up Solutions (their corporate name). Then the compliance guy told me that my site was hacked because I was on a share server (that they put me on after telling me I was a dedicated server through a whole different company.) -Sold me a scheduling plug in called “Notifications” and photo shopped the price to say $426 instead of the actual price of $26. Then found out this was not a scheduling plugin, and DC had just put g appointments in my site (a free service). -Paid $475 for SEO that never happened. -Paid $1150 to trademark my logo. It took them 2 months and then told them to forget it. When I called the US trademark registration office, found they had went ahead with the registration the same day I told them not to move ahead, not even trademarking my logo but my company name typed in incorrect font! - DC never finished the site to make sure that everything was functioning correctly and would not return my texts/calls. I now have a team of cyber security specialists looking into the matter, as well as a friend of mine who happens to be a Google Attorney. They messed with the wrong person! I reported them to my credit card company and already was credited some money back. Hope this helps…..RUN
these people are con men. i read the reviews but at the start they were ok. but after time all the exact same things started happening to me.they do NOT have an office in toronto. getting passed around. not creating content just asking me for revision then taking so long to do the simplest of tasks. i have spent thousands and now have nothing to show for it. now they refuse to even give me access. i have now retained legal council. please do not use these people!!!!!
We chose DesignCrocx because of their competitive pricing. That is the only good thing I can say about them. It has been a nightmare trying to communicate with them due to their heavily accented english. We paid them to design an auction website, 3 years dedicated server, and 3 months SEO. After roughly three months of trying to get things designed the way we wanted, we gave up and allowed them to publish, hoping that we could make the necessary changes ourselves. After they published the website I found out email was not included in the package, even though the contract stated that it was. Since I no longer trusted them I decided to use gmail. This required a few changes in the backend for email routing but even with detailed instructions they were unable to complete this task. At this point we were already dealing with the fourth person since the start of our project. After a month of getting nowhere we were pushed to yet another person. He looked into what had been done and informed us that we did not have a dedicated server and there had been a hacking attempt made on our site. This was the reason given for our email not working. At that point I asked to take control of our domain name so we could move the site to our own server because I can no longer trust this company. I was then called by someone who said they were the top supervisor. He claimed that he would make sure I was 100% happy. When I asked for control of my domain he tried to tell me that his company could handle it much better than anyone else. When I insisted that I wanted to take control of my site myself, he said he would call the next day. That was some weeks ago. He now does not respond to call, or text. I tried calling from a different number and someone answered but said he was in a meeting and would call back. In summary: They are hard to understand. They gave me shared hosting after I'd paid for a dedicated server. They convinced me to pay extra for three months of SEO that they never modified or even optimized for my site. When I asked to take control of my site and domain since the contract specifies that I have 100% ownership rights, they stop responding completely. I am writing this review in hopes of getting them to talk to me when they see it.
I have a website about bipolar disorder; it is strictly informational. Remember the chemistry book in 10th grade? It had pictures to support the lessons. For me, content is everything. No banner ads, no sliders, no calls to action, no images of grade D models looking depressed or lethargic. If I did, I would not have any readers. I completed their web design questionnaire and logo design questionnaire. I included designs for each of them. After that, Paul called me and we discussed the project in detail for 30 minutes. I thought he was on the right track. I was so wrong! I received their interpretation of the design 48 hours later. Talk about missing the mark. These guys missed the planet. As I said, grade D models who are depressed to the point of not being able to crawl out of bed. But these women? They've got the hair, the makeup, and the jewelry. Of course, I glam up when I'm miserable. It was the banner ad advertising that my blog was the definitive reference for bipolar disorder that sent me over the proverbial wall. Paul, my so-called project manager, and I discussed the design. Why did I give them a second chance? Then came the logo. Do you know that people with bipolar disorder, especially women, grow plants in their heads? Neither did I. Now I'm wondering what kind of plant it was. One more shot, and these guys would be 3-0. It says on their site "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back." I requested my money back. That's when the trolling began. Four to five texts a day. Emails. Phone calls. Can we try again? We'll figure it out. I promise. Here's the funny part. Paul says he employs 90 world-class designers. Among them are writers who can put a spark in your site. “Number 1 Design Company.” I checked out their address on Google. Top-notch designers are tucked away in a boarded-up storefront between a nail salon and a pizza place. It must be very crowded there. Avoid these people at all costs. Please. I’ve heard that getting a restraining order can be a pain in the...
A HUGE SCAM. DO NOT HIRE. I hired them to design 2 websites for me. They started off very friendly and communicated well. After getting the design down is went it all went downhill. They stopped responding to emails, phone calls, and texts. It would take them weeks to complete the simplest tasks and then once they had completed to update it always turned out to be wrong. They hand you off to different project managers. We tried to get our money back but they stopped answering our calls. Their finance department blocked our calls. This is a huge scam and I hope everyone knows it. They have a CEO which you arent allowed to speak with or even know the name. Please never hire.
I hired this agency to build me a website and an app for my business. The deal was to complete the project within 2 weeks. It took them over 2 months to only complete the website which looked decent. The ackend system was never designed and they never completed the app that i paid for it. I hired another agency and they completed a new website within a week. The app is almost done and im very happy with the new agency. I filed a dispute with Capital One and were still waiting for a refund. Meanwhile I received an email from their customer service named Pearl Dominic agreeing to pay me back for those 3 separate charges and drop the dispute with my credit card company and then 3 days later she lied and changed her story. Still waiting to get paid and I am going to contact other government agencies to not allow such businesses to conduct unethical business in USA.
I like to inform others that design crocx is a scam I wasn't given the web hosting services they promised I was told by project manager 3 months when I had my website designed I paid $320.00 1 year dedicated server as I thought. But I found out 2 months later I had shared hosting as my service. After 4 months suddenly my website connection service was disrupted my website is gone now. So I called them told them about the issue now they telling me to pay more money to get my website restored. I asked that why do I have pay more money for service I already paid for. The project manager that did my website is no longer with the company now. So, the staff in that company trying make me pay more for something not even my faught it was their former colleague fault this company has been costing me money ever since. I urge please don't use this design company they have bad reputation. Stay Away from this web company.
THEY STOLE OVER $6000 AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN OVER 3 CHANCES TO SHOW ME A FUNCTIONING WEBSITE!!! I HAVE REQUESTED MY MONEY TO BE RETURNED AND THEY WILL NOT RESPOND!!! VERY SLICK AND EVERYTIME I GAVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE, NOTHING THEY SHOWED ME WAS A FUNCTIONING WEBSITE. I ACTUALLY SENT THEM A DESIGN AND STILL NOTHING!
I have been trying for months to get a refund. I paid $1200 for 6 months of SEO optimization. After three months they stopped responding to my phone calls. They only answer if I call from another number other than mine. I could not dispute it with my credit card co because it had been after 3 months which they did intentionally. Since June, I have been calling each week trying to get my money back. Please do not trust this company or pay for services up front. I am normally very cautious when I do business and this is the first time I have been scammed by a company. In response to their email....I paid $1200 for 6 months of SEO service and "received 3 months". They stopped responding to emails and said they were done working with me. I was refunded $720 for the website service that wasn't finished and ended up doing it myself. I asked to receive the SEO service that I paid up front for with no response. Mind you the cost is now $600 for six months. Do not pay for anything upfront from these people.
Was referred by a friend who had used their services and was always satisfied. They did a great job on my new website - fast and reasonable price. Highly Recommended
Excellent designs to proceed with. Creative designers and developers. The process was very smooth as per a beginner’s stand point. Appreciate the efforts Design Crocx put in to deliver the project exactly how I required. Highly Recommended!
This company is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. When you call them on the phone it is always out of service or you get a reply that they are in a meeting. Please DO NOT use this company and look elsewhere. I'm so happy I stopped with them doing my logo and that was a nightmare and I still do not have what I asked for.
This place is a sham and will steal your money, lie and not produce the items that the advertise and you pay for. Then when you try to call, when they cannot own up to their obligations, they literally block your number. This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my nearly 50 years of life. You could find 100 companies that are better, cheaper, more professional and trustworthy than this one. I DO NOT RECOMMEND them at ALL.
I hired this company to design a website and a logo. I paid 700 candian dollars and I was told that the package deal was for an ecommerce website. I was told that there was this huge sale that the package was worth 2500 dollars. This was not the case at all. The first designers for the website were terrible and then someone else took over and that was just as deceiving. I could not get the website custom made they did not make any changes to the website that I asked for. There was suppose to be professional writers which there was no proof of. When I told them I needed the website to be ecommerce friendly like what they had promised me in the beginning they wanted another 1400 dollars US. I asked for my refund like their website had promised and then they ghosted me.
My experience with Design Crocx has been very positive. It got me out from a really tight spot and we have ended up with a beautiful site to be proud of. Earlier this year I went to the administrative back end of our 10 year old Joomla site and received a pop-up that said Access Denied. Blue Host's IT was only able to speculate that the site had been hacked. Desperate for a solution I googled and found Design Crocx . Initially, I was told that the only way to resolve the issue was to rebuild the site (something I should have looked into years ago). worldbeatinternational.com had become massive and clumsy. A migration to a word press format would allow me to trim old content which I no longer used and rebuild on a much more solid and user-friendly platform. After seeing a template for the new design, I worked through one weekend to provide the Design Crocx team with instructions and materials which would enhance the appearance, allow me to upload new content each week and would reflect our unique vision for contemporary global music. With Steve and later, Ethan the new design began taking shape and now we have a home page at worldbeatinternational.com we can be proud to welcome visitors to. The value we received for the amount of work done was an incredibly good deal. Design Crocx eventually would become our new server and maintenance provider at a far more reasonable price than what I was paying Blue Host, Site Lock etc. I won't lie. It took a great deal of time to complete, but the site was up and running as rough beta again within a month. My wife has previous experience with maintaining a Word Press site and she's gradually tutoring me. Design Crocx has provided both of us with helpful video tutorials and I have no doubt we'll quickly become proficient at adding in new content. Steve and Ethan have been a pleasure to work with, listening to our questions and resolving small issues. Now, having purchased their very reasonable Maintenance Package, we've been assigned Ronn to look after our account and to be there for us as issues and questions arise down the road. This was all accomplished through emails and text messages, which, during a pandemic proved to be not only convenient but essential. Our Design Crocx representatives have shown themselves to be knowledgeable, personable and great to deal with. The whole process has been a leap of faith for us, but Design Crocx has made the journey a pleasure and we're thrilled with the results. Highly recommended! Sincerely, Cal Koat,
