Bristol. Made the booking over the phone, I was given no clear information about the true cost of additional paintballs, nor were any of the potential extra charges explained. I assumed, based on our conversation, that the price I was quoted would cover a reasonably fun and complete experience for myself and children and ready costing nearly £70. However, upon arriving at the site, we were informed that the initial package included basically nothing but our access onto site and very limited number of paintballs, far from sufficient for even one full game of three we were again not told there would be. To my dismay, the additional paintballs came at an exorbitant price, a fact that was not disclosed during the booking process with the minimum package setting me back £300 for our group of 6 and this wasn’t even the recommended package! To purchase the recommended package would have cost over £500! The pricing structure for the paintball packages was complicated and buried deep within the website, requiring considerable effort and actually understanding of the game to uncover and calculate. For a family with children standing excitedly waiting to play, this last-minute revelation was both frustrating and disappointing causing both mental and financial distress. I feel there has been gross misconduct and mis sale with a massive lack of transparency throughout the whole process. We were effectively placed in a position where we had no choice but to purchase these costly extras, or otherwise let the day be ruined for the kids who had been looking forward to it as a birthday celebration. Had this information been communicated upfront during the booking process, we would have been better prepared to make an informed decision about whether the day would fit our budget. Instead, we were left feeling misled and pressured into paying significantly more than we had initially anticipated. Further more the facilities on side were so revolting I would confidently say that they were an extreme health hazard, violating health and safety legislation with urinals overflowing and blocked sinks. Sent a complaint email that was ignored.
