I was told by someone they were good so I tried Cabinets to Go. One of the worst decisions I have ever made! Damaged parts and replacements are out of stock! They promise to send a new cabinet but it comes without parts so it still can’t be used! In 73 years this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had! Don’t wish your time or money!!
DO NOT buy or use them, they ship you used, damaged items. Then they take weeks to send another one out. Very poor service, zero help or do not care.
Cabinets To Go cannot even start off on the right foot. I scheduled a virtual design call at 12pm EST. The time came and went. More than 1 hour after the appointment time I get a call asking if its a good time. I said no, you missed your time by more than an hour. I told them to remove my name and info and I will go with someone else that actually cares about customer service.
Terrible experience with Cabinets To Go in Naples Florida and their installer, Install Right. Installers arrived and installed cabinets in the wrong locations, cut filler pieces to the incorrect sizes and told me to order more. Install Right said I needed to order new pieces, Cabinets To Go said it wasn’t there problem and wouldn’t send parts. Install Right fired the installation crew. 3 weeks later another crew was sent to reinstall the cabinets correctly. They did a good job but the correct new filler parts still were not ordered so we waited a couple more weeks. Some hinges and touch up kit disappeared with first crew and Cabinets To Go would not correct. We had originally contracted with Cabinets To Go for our quartz countertops. We selected the material and their fabricator said it was a new color and wasn’t sure where they would get it. We were told lead times are 4 weeks. We cancelled the order with Cabinets To Go, found a local fabricator who got the exact material for less money and did a great job getting it done in less than 2 weeks. The manager of the Naples Fl store hung up on me and never returned my calls.
Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication & Multiple Issues My experience with Cabinets To Go was frustrating from start to finish. Poor communication from both Ken and Yalanda made the process even more difficult. Due to an error on their end, my cabinets were shipped 7-10 days late, causing delays in my project. When they finally arrived, I discovered missing hardware, missing cabinetry finishes, and—without any prior notice—that the cabinets were not assembled. To make matters worse, the microwave insert was the wrong size. When I reached out to address these issues, Yalanda ignored my emails entirely. Ken and customer service at least returned my calls but offered no solutions, simply saying there was nothing they could do. A company selling cabinets should at the very least ensure they arrive as expected and provide responsive customer service when issues arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I would not recommend Cabinets To Go based on the lack of accountability and poor communication.
This store is a disaster. The manager Kim has no idea what is going on. She ordered the wrong cabinets and then I had to call her every day to follow up- she never bothered to call me with updates. There was ZERO communication with the delivery person and he delivered the wrong cabinets even after I told them I did not want them delivered. They sat in my living room for 3 months while cabinets to go tried to figure out how to do their job. I never got an apology. I had to beg for partial refund (which was actually due to me because the cabinets they ordered were too big). The delivery people are also rude and when they came back the second time they would not even let me check if the delivery was correct. A disaster from start to finish. Save yourself the headache and go to home depot
We did a walk into the Syracuse, NY showroom and the sales rep was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the products that they sell. The price quoted was about 1/2 of the cost quoted at the chain home improvement stores. She was not pushy but she was thorough and did follow up with us.
This review is in 2 phases. Cabinets to go phase 1. The designer we had was very good. Issue was there was no manger to the store so our designer, who was new, was compromised and struggles at times. She responded well to our changes but at the end could not explain why our counter tops went up $1300 and our hardware had to be returned which we did get refunded. We ended up canceling our counter top and went direct with some one else. Cabinets are a good quaity. Negative they have a huge cost increase to products, you’re better off going direct for counter tops and hardware and it through them. Installation phase 2. Here you need to be careful. The installer we had ended up being no better then a hack. He used the wrong screws on the cabinets claimed he could not find beams so he clued cabinets to the wall used counter sink screws of which he did not predrill and the screws splinted the veneer. I fixed all the issues myself including finding beams that he claimed he could not find. He actually used 2 screws corner cabinet that were not long enough to hit the beam. He was 1.5 to 3 hours late everyday. Never a call telling us he was running late. Never answered questions. Multiple times I wanted to kick him out of the house and off the project. If you don’t know anything about installing cabinet research and then ask the jinstaller question like what’s your process how do you hang with no stud. Etc.
absolutely pathetic. they lie they steal. Intentionally miss pieces from an order so they can come back and absolutely rape. You with pricing. Stay away from these dishonest people. Quality of the installation is bad as well.
Horrible Tampa office. They screwed up the measurements, ordered the wrong cabinet and take no responsibility. Rich/Nicole never called to straighten out the situation or even apologize. THEY TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES!!!! BUYER BEWARE
I purchased kitchen cabinets from Cabinets To Go. Shortly after installation in 2020, I began to notice significant chipping on the interfaces of the cabinet doors and drawers. This chipping has continued to worsen over time, despite the cabinets being used under normal residential conditions and maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Attempts to Resolve: I have contacted Cabinets To Go Customer Care to address this issue and obtain replacement panels for 2 of the cabinets. Despite providing detailed descriptions, photographs of the damage, and proof of purchase, the responses have been unsatisfactory. The supervisor at the company claimed that wear and tear and chipping of paint is not covered under the Lifetime Warranty. This limitation, however, is not included in the Sales Order paperwork that we originally signed. Regardless of this discrepancy, Cabinets To Go has offered inadequate solution and said that we would need to pay to replace the panels. The chipping not only detracts from the aesthetic appeal of my kitchen but also raises concerns about the long-term durability and quality of the cabinets. Given the significant investment I made in these cabinets, I am extremely disappointed with the product's performance and the company's response to my concerns.
Shame on me for not reading reviews before I purchased their product and services. Our journey to purchase cabinets and countertops for our laundry room, mud room and pantry began over 3 months ago. The project is still incomplete. NOTE: CTG required payment in full prior to beginning the project. That should have been the first RED FLAG. During our visit to their showroom in Charleston, SC, they gave us a quote and a contract to sign which required payment in full (almost $18,000). Then they sent a contractor out to verify our measurements (an additional charge of $99), after which CTG notified us that we will need to pay an additional $1300 to complete the project. We did so. The cabinets were shipped to our house a few weeks later and stored in our garage until they could schedule the install yet another few weeks later. The install took twice as long than anticipated because the contractor and his team worked only about 5 hours a day and didn't show up every day. Then the contractor informed us that one of the cabinets was too big for the space (for which he had verified the measurements) and they were going to need to send a smaller cabinet. I received a phone call from CTG that this smaller cabinet would cost a few hundred dollars more. A few weeks later, the smaller cabinet arrives, we have to again wait for scheduling the completion of the install. Next, we had to wait several more days for CTG to send out yet another contractor to verify the measurements for the countertops we had purchased and paid for. This contractor informed us they don't have the counters which we had selected in the showroom, so we had to select another countertop, and pay another $1200. Additionally, it would take 2-3 weeks to schedule the installation. At this point, we had had enough. We told our salesperson to cancel the countertops, because we would purchase them elsewhere. He told us no problem. Days go by and I keep asking about the countertop refund (over $3,000). He finally contacts us and says they will issue the refund to our credit card but will withhold over $400 for the cost of the countertop measurements. So here we are, over 3 months later, with no countertops and still bickering with CTG while they hold our funds. This has been a nightmare! Stay away from CTG!
We ordered our cabinets, and they had a contractor come out for the measurements. He measured but did not write anything down. When he turned his measurements in, they were wrong. Next, we were told that contractor had been released by Cabinets to go. I later learned it was because one of his helpers was a sex offender. Seems they don't vet their contractors. The new contractors came out using the original wrong measurements. Of course it didn't work. Their work was like they were installing them in an industrial setting, not in a residential setting. The work and wrong measurements caused them to re-order cabinets and find a 3rd contractor. Ultimately, we were without our kitchen for almost 3 months. I contacted the owner of Cabinets To Go and he basically did not care and got mad that I confronted him about poor service and the lack of concern of disabled veterans. I learned about all of his family that served, everyone but him, thus his lack of care. He gave me the opinion that he was just a piece of crap that sat at the top of the hill and looked down on everyone else. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. The ownership all the way down totally sucks, except our sales lady that could do absolutely nothing because the company would get mad at her if she tried. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
I had my kitchen remodel with new cabinets, new counter tops, back splash and floors by Cabinets to Go. After they installed the cabinets I had to call Stone Systems of Atlanta to set up for measurements for the counter tops and back splash. I had paid for Arista Quartz counter tops and back splash. After the measurements they came out to install them about two week later. That day I found out the back splash was cut to fit on both sides of the stove and nothing behind the stove. I wanted a complete slab behind the stove and Cabinet to Go knew what I wanted. I called CTG and Stone Systems of Atlanta without good results. I called Stone System of Atlanta and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. Latisha came to the phone. She said because the stove was not there during measurements they had to cut the stone and that I had signed the contract that the stove will be there. I had signed the contract unknowingly that the stove will be there and no one advised me that the stove should be there. As the conversation progressed she said that I had to pay for that slab all over again at $1100.00. I did not understand why they cut the stone and why I had to pay to correct the problem. After going around and around I agreed to pay half of the $1100.00 to complete the job. I thought that was unfair to pay for something and when it goes wrong the buyer have to cover the cost. My attorney made me aware that I had signed the contract through Cabinets to Go. I thought that was a horrible situation and a horrible subcontractor.
Refused to honor warranty claiming the damage to my cabinet door is water damage. You would have to soak it for a long time to have this kind of problem, which I have not done. They also chip very easily. Do not expect coverage if you have a damaged cabinet.
Cabinets to Go Review If you are thinking of a kitchen upgrade/remodel like cabinets and countertops “DO NOT” go to cabinets to go, I cannot say this loudly enough. In November 2023 we had a water leak that destroyed a bedroom and the kitchen cabinets. We hired a contractor to repair floors and walls. We got quotes from several places for cabinets and countertops, Cabinets to Go was one of those estimates. After considering all the bids we decided to use Cabinets to Go. We were told by management at the local store that if they used our measurements any cabinets that were wrong would be our responsibility, we paid to have their guy come and do the measurements. On February 6 2024 we wrote them a check for almost 18K for cabinets, countertops, sink, faucet and the delivery and install, then the nightmare started. A week later we were told there was a delay and our cabinets were not going to be there for another week, we already had contractors lined up for other work that required the cabinets to be there. The week of arrival I had to call to find out where my cabinets were, I was told by the manager “they are here and I could come pick them up whenever I wanted.” I told him that I paid for delivery why would I pick them up? I was told they would get someone to deliver them. 2 days later one really small guy shows up in a truck with the cabinets and expects me to help unload. After the install contractor showed up and assisted with the unload they got to work assembling cabinets, I was excited but that would soon fade. One of the installers came and wanted to show me something, we went in the house and the cabinets that were to go on either side of the kitchen window were to large ( they hung over the side of the window by 3 or 4 inches). So that’s a call to the boss and stop work (remember I paid for them to do the measurements) wait for the boss to show up and take more measurements the another 2 weeks for replacement cabinets, no attempt at expediting the process while I have other contractors that we were on the verge of losing for some time. Finally cabinets show up and the upper ones get installed now to the bottom, the Lazy Susan for the corner was wrong (too big) can’t open doors. Manager tells me they are not going to be able to install Lazy Susan, my reply was if you can’t install what you measured/planned and I paid for to refund my money, come get your cabinets and I will go somewhere else and start over, Manager replied there would be a 25% restocking fee. I about lost my mind. Calls to customer service are not any better, handled by foreigners that can only say “sorry for the inconvenience” and “I feel your frustration” and then call the store manager and get him to call you with some lame excuse. Meanwhile discover the faucet we paid for is not there, call to the store “yeah sorry that was discontinued” we will have to issue a refund and they only mail them once a week from Tennessee. Now we have to go source our own faucet. Another 2 weeks and they come up with a Lazy Susan that will work, finally the cabinets are installed and ready for countertops. That contractor shows up and measures and tells me it will take about a week to get the cut and ready for install. One week later on delivery day I get a call not going to happen they broke them putting on the truck. Another week and another day off work and finally the kitchen is done it is now first part of April 2024. Still waiting for refund for cabinets that were too large and were returned. I can’t say enough DO NOT use these people for anything no matter how much less they are than the other guy. You have to constantly stay on top of them, they will not call you and tell you what is going on, no apologies or discount offer for any inconvenience at all nothing once they get your check. Finally got refund check 15 June 2024. The only good to come out of it is now my wife is now happy.
I purchased cabinets from the store in Cincinnati. I've already picked my order up, but I've continually been contacted by the guy Don who works in the warehouse even though I've asked him to stop. His messages and questions are bordering on sexual harassment.
Terrible experience here. Too bad I can't give zero stars. We arrived and were asked by the manager, Angela, to move our vehicle so their semi truck could deliver the cabinets. She showed us exactly where to park our car. Less than 5 minutes later our brand new car was hit by their semi truck! The driver was not nice even though it was his fault. Long story short, Cabinets to Go will not take any responsibility for this event (our vehicle would have been safe had we not moved it to the spot Angela asked us to). Tried contacting the regional manager - Mike Wilson. He won't even respond to our emails. Terrible customer relations!!! After many months - and almost $11,000 worth of damage, we have spent countless hours dealing with the body shop, rental cars, insurance, etc. Cabinets to Go has apparently washed it's hands of us!
As a customer.......service of the upmost important, how a business treat you after taking your money is very important. There are a lot of con artist, contractors, and people that will rip you off and treat you like crap ......Customer service in this company is nonexistent, especially with the Bergen county location, the person who I gave my cabinet measurements to over estimated the materials when I told the manager Mike about it he said he could pick up the excess materials but he would charge me $250. I then told him that this was not my fault and I shouldn't have to pay for shipping..... is this went on for a ridiculous couple of months... I guess they hope that I would get tired of calling Follow your instincts and read all the reviews had I read the reviews left by other customers I would not have used this company I believe it was very simple and inexpensive for them to solve this problem..... they told me that these cabinets are guaranteed for life. I hate to have to come back to them for any kind of warranties.
We purchased kitchen cabinets and counters for our kitchen from the store in Hartford, CT. We provided precise measurements of the kitchen and still two mistakes were made by the person who wrote up our order for the size cabinet that would fit in the space provided. Upon return of the cabinets, we had to fight to not be charged the 20% re-stocking fee and were not given the new cabinet at the sale price even though the error was theirs. Also, we were charged for pulls because the person who wrote it up put them in the pictures, on her own accord, to show us what it would look like. Upon return - again- the 20% restocking fee. The person that wrote up our order was not informed and therefore did not inform us about everything. Clearly more training of their staff is needed. The timing and quality of the cabinets was to our satisfaction. The butcher block counter top was of poor quality and we were not told anything about how it was to be installed (they do not provide an installer) or that it needed to be sealed. Again, lack of information and knowledge of their own products. Most of the staff was professional. We purchased in January 2024 and did the kitchen ourselves so it was finally completed with the correct size cabinets in March 2024. Advice: Ask lots of questions and make sure you check and re-check what they are selling you (your invoice) so you don't get stuck with the 20% restocking fees. You need to really know what you are doing and don't trust that the person writing you up knows what they are talking about; because they don't.
