Loved how close it was to the Village.

Everything was easy to go over and make the reservations with the girl on the phone. She was very knowledgeable in the house that we stayed and was just perfect for the two dogs with a fenced in yard.

The fenced backyard made it a perfect place to stay with dogs. We enjoyed the deck and wood-burning fireplace. Very convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Beautiful clean cabin, kitchen had everything needed, peaceful setting

The Big Bear Cool Cabins site is easy to navigate with filters that allowed me to narrow down my search to a specific area (The Village). Booking was easy; however, the third party app (Happy Stays) that I had to download seemed unnecessary. It was one more step I needed to take that was inconvenient. I also had to upload a photo and ID on the app, but the app didn't seem to work smoothly so it took me several attempts (waste of more time). Check in at the office was quick and easy, but seemed unnecessary as well - why couldn't they just send the access code like other rental companies. I get that it's probably an extra security measure, but so many other rental companies make it much easier. I would have liked the option to add another guest to my reservation to be able to check in since I was getting into town late. The rep said only way this could be done was to have the guest go into the office and they would refund my credit card and the guest could pay with their card. Again, probably a security measure, but if I've agreed to pay with my card on file and be responsible for charges, there should be a way to have a guest added with my permission. The rep at check in was friendly and professional. As far as the rental/house, it was clean and had a lot of amenities and thoughtful extras like board games, books, record player and records. I couldn't find an iron and ironing board, but maybe missed it. Also, one of the rooms had a closet but it was locked, so an armoire or hanging rack would've been nice to hang clothing.

I know this service is very good, however I was disappointed with the cabin. The carpet was really gross, the paint outside is peeling, the back yard is a disaster. But on the good side the kitchen is great and the bathrooms were very clean and beautiful. The reason I was disappointed was because I had stayed in a different cabin before which was well maintained inside and out. I know I didn't choose an expensive one but I don't think I would have this one to rent out until some maintenance is done on it. Just my observation. I do love your company though and I will use again.

So impressed with how well this lovely property is maintained and stocked with everything you’d need while on vacation. Check in was quick and made easy by professional and friendly staff. Property host communicated effectively and timely via email and text. All combined made our Big Bear Lake getaway a wonderful success!

It was our second time at the same cabin, process was easy and experience was fun, we wish checking was earlier by noon and not 4pm. Looking foward the chimney is fix for oct/Nov.

We loved the cottage and everything looked to be very new and good quality. The place was cozy and well positioned close to the lake and village. I was also pleasently surprised with a birthday gift box. Thank you for a lovely memory. We will be back!

I’m very happy with my experience with Cool cabins, I was able to book a cabin on short notice without a problem. Requirements were reasonable and the staff while checking in were helpful and lovely. I will book with Cool Cabins again in future stays.

The cabin was large enough for 4 families and close to Oktoberfest. When we arrived there were at least 30 flies in the master bath. I contacted cool cabins and they quickly brought over some spray and traps for the flies. This worked well in killing the flies. Flies continued to appear throughout our stay but the spray was able to kill them. The bunk bed room has an opening at the top of the wall all the way around so that the kids sleeping in there could see the lights from the kitchen and hear the noise from the family room. The back yard was very large and had lots of fun play areas. The railing around the deck is getting lose as well as the handle to go down the stairs. My dog really enjoyed exploring in the backyard. Make sure to bring your own spices and salt and pepper. The cabin description said it would supply basic spices but we could not find them. Since we were there for Oktoberfest and wanted to walk this was the best location. the beds were comfortable and the game room was really fun.

Logistics were fine, and the location is great. Loved eating breakfast on the deck and seeing the lake. The main thing that could be improved is the couch- the slip covers don’t suffice.

Really attentive to our schedule and needs. The amenity option was more than I had expected and very thoughtful. The staff was so kind of all hours of the day. The space rented was clean and welcoming.

Great stay! Love that it was dog friendly in many ways! The yard was big and fenced so the pups could hang out outside without worry. Location was clean and as described. I wouldn’t call this a complaint but maybe an incident? There were no baking trays or dishes in the cabin, I called the office and asked if they knew if the pots in the cabin were oven safe? They put me on hold for a while and came back and confirmed they were. I was a little unsure still because the handles were plastic so I liked them up, found them on Amazon, they were not oven safe.

Really nice getaway. We flagged at checkout - the fire pit didn’t work so that was a bummer

This was a great place in a great location. It was clean and well kept and steps from Oktoberfest. It’s definitely an older house (so expect some creaky floors upstairs and small bathrooms) but all the updates and new finishes made it very nice and no problem. We especially liked the screen doors downstairs. It made it nice to be able to have fresh air flow while still having locked doors. Cool Cabins was professional and very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

The beds felt like bricks but otherwise it was quite nice

The cabin was spotless. We are seniors and liked that the primary bedroom and the only bathroom are downstairs. The rear deck is spacious and nicely furnished with patio furniture and a gas barbecue. The kitchen was fully outfitted with anything you might need to cook. We've been staying at different cabins in Fawnskin this past summer and this is by far our favorite. The price is very reasonable. We'll be back.
