I was looking for a house about 3 months before my friend recommended me Gil Avilés from Avilés realstate. I had 3 agents prior Gil, and it was a complete madness. I couldn't understand anything. The first day Gil explained step by step all the documents, processes, and laws involved to be able to get a house. He was always available, kind, and knowledgeable in the subject. Gil really cared about my process, and guided me thru. Furthermore, I finally got my house, and still contact Gil for advise even after WE GOT the house. This is a great service!!! In this crazy market nowadays, we were looking desperately for our first home, with no luck UNTIL we met Gil! We learnt a lot with him, and he was very honest and responsive since the first moment. My wife and I moved to Charleston from out of state and did not have a lot knowledge about the area. We initially were working with a realtor, who unfortunately like so many, were really just a realtor on the side. So we found most of the homes on our own and she essentially was there to open the door. Most of our questions were answered with “you can google that”. Then we met Gil. After just one showing we knew we had to work with him. His depth of knowledge and completely honest approach was refreshing. So we immediately terminated our relationship with the prior realtor and began our hunt with Gil. Every home we saw he accompanied with comps of similar home sold in the area, every time I called (no matter the time) I got an almost instantaneous response, and every step of the way he was clear and transparent about the process. My wife and I actually feel like we learned a ton about the real estate process by working with him! I can’t say enough good things about Gil and his team. We found the home of our dreams in the perfect neighborhood and feel so much peace in knowing We didn’t settle on a single thing. Gil never pressured us, had endless patience and we felt truly wanted our family (4 kids included) to be happy. I think it’s the difference of working with somebody who owns the business as opposed to a broker who works for a “big name”. I seldom write reviews but when a product or person really goes above and beyond I do. We are so grateful we found him. My wife is convinced it was fate!!!
