Good quality furniture at sensible prices. All dealings with the company went well, and even a slight error with delivery was rectified with no fuss. Highly recommended.
Sofa arrived with manufacturing faults a large graze and 2 cuts to the leather!. The chesterfield company refuse to repair, refund or replace the sofa they sold me with manufacturing faults on the basis of a delivery note I signed for a packed and sealed sofa which I could not inspect until the sofa was unwrapped! WHEN THINGS GO WRONG THESE GUYS ARE NOT INTERESTED! I would go to a reputable dealer Very poor after sales service!
Love the sofa. Good communication throughout from The Chesterfield Co. Delivery bang on time and the lads were sound. Took away all packaging etc. Great service. Would recommend.
After searching everywhere I found the perfect sofas. Didn't even view them just bought online and they are better than I thought.If I need furniture again this is where I'll go.

Whilst I love the look of my new sofa, and can't argue with the workmanship as it all looks very well made, I have a couple of pointers for other people considering purchasing this item: The cushions on this sofa are VERY firm, it takes everyone who sits on it by surprise - I chose the feather topped padding and it is still a very hard cushion, I'll prob have to get new cushion pads made. The sofa dimensions are true but it is a small 3 seater, as a lot of the length measurement is taken up by the size of the arms (which are very wide). The actual part you sit on is more like a 2 seater. Luckily this wasn't a sofa I chose for my main lounge, it's in a second lounge where it won't get as much use, so the above were not a deal breaker. Looks nice though! Lastly, once paid for in full this took them 2.5 weeks to even arrange delivery, which I had to keep chasing them about. And it wasn't the "white glove" experience promised on their website - think more Argos than John Lewis!
I recieved my second chesterfield sofa on the Friday afternoon bank holiday weekend .the delivery guys didn't even want to unwrap it and on inspection they couldn't attach a foot to base .they both agreed I couldn't sit or use the sofa and balanced it in corner .i asked them to send it back as it was a custom sofa and was clearly faulty and not fit for purpose and that I was planning to move in the following week and have a dog so wouldn't be able to keep him off the sofa as the man said if there was any weight put on it I would be held liable for damage ? They also said I couldn't send the sofa back and ran out the house as we're travelling to England.when they left I noticed my fireside wall had been scratched and had black marks all along it were they had moved my sofa .i tried calling the company but they shut at 13.30 pm on a Friday so I got my mother to call on the Saturday mourning as I was away on business .i phoned and spoke to manager explaining my disappointment and concern about the service .she wasn't interested but did inform me that I could have sent sofa back .had a workman out to house who confirmed to manager that the sofa was delivered faulty from workshop so I then had a very long wasted conversation with the manager again about the service and my upset .she said I wasn't entitled to a refund only repair ? Wasn't going to investigate the damage to my walls and couldn't arrange for someone higher than herself to contact me .i asked for it all to be put in letter format and for delivery company details so I can seek compassion from them and so I can take chesterfield company to trading standards and raise a claim against them.i still have the faulty sofa in my house awaiting collection to be repaired ? ? And no guarantee of a response from director or area manger .very sadded and disappointed about the whole service I've recieved and the way I've been treated especially after my first sofa was so great .wish I had read trust pilot before my purchases and choose a brand were customer service is second to none from start to finish and you don't get delivered faulty custom items and are only offered a repair and use proper delivery services that stand by and represent there brand values
I am so upset with the chesterfield company. From the very beginning the customer service was terrible. When i finally received my 4 seater chesterfield sofa i noticed within 2 weeks the leather was peeling.When i called them the manager was saying that it might be my fault and to send back the cushion covers. I said no way am i going to be without the cushion covers..they wouldnt answer my calls ..always an excuse..and when they did they were sooooo unhelpful. They just didnt care. The attitude was terrible.. Plus i was sold an extra 5 year insurance and never has given any info on that.. their insurance company knows nothing about it ughh..TERRIBLE QUALITY TERRIBLE SERVICE...i paid alot of money for a cheap sofa...
I ordered two leather couches, they came before the six week estimate. The workmanship is exceptional with a great finish. I will recommend to anyone
I purchased 2 Arundel sofas from the Chesterfield company. We could'nt be happier with the design we chose, they are so stylish & comfy. Also the quality and craftsmanship was excellent. Would definitely use again and would recommend to anyone. Excellent service from order to delivery.
PLEASE STOP. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I am from Glasgow and prior to buying a Chesterfield sofa carried research on 3 companies, after much deliberation we chose The Chesterfield company. Paid the 50% deposit, waited 5 weeks then paid the remainder of the balance, I was told by Luke that my sofa had been collected by the courier firm and I would receive a call from them to organise delivery the following week, I never received any calls and no sofa, I phoned Luke again he apologised for the delay and informed me it would be the following week now for delivery and that he would call me and so would the delivery company. The following week nothing again from any of them so I called Luke again and as usual apologised and put me on hold while he contacted the company who supposedly collected my sofas 14 days previously, Luke came back on to tell me there was a mix up, the courier company only picked 1 of my sofas up and another customers by mistake so it would now be this week I receive my sofas. Phoned today for even more excuses and was told it will now be next week, I am not holding my breath. Customer service - Non Existing Reliability - 0 Honesty - 0 Quality - ? cannot say but I am now dreading receiving my sofas. Would I buy again - NEVER even if sofas had 90% off. Please look at the other companies DO NOT CONSIDER THIS BUSINESS, you will have sleepless nights and worry. The whole experience has left me wishing I had bought from others. I have now had my sofas for 6 weeks and thought I would give you an update on the quality. POOR, 6 weeks old I am looking to have a leather repair company come to my house with the view to advising us how we can repair the leather. I cannot stress enough that these sofas are amongst the lowest quality I have ever seen, the leather is cheap, the seat cushion you sit on will be lucky to last 1year, the leather is starting to crack in several places, needs stretched in other places, they claim these sofas are hand made and not cheap copies from China, nothing about these sofas say Quality. It also amazes me that after 1 or 2 bad reviews, 2 5star reviews appear I would like to hear from these people after a few months of having the sofas. Do not be fooled by this company everything about them is cheap and nasty.
After researching several companies on the web, we decided to have a look at The Chesterfield Company's showroom. We ventured over to Manchester from East Yorkshire not a million miles but a bit of a trek over the Pennines taking about 4 hours round trip. We liked what we saw and there was no pressure selling, we received a written quote which included free delivery and had to pay a 50% deposit. We were happy with the price and the quality of the product but due to circumstance we were not able to go back to the showroom to place the order personally, we decided to order online. We completed the online form but full payment was needed and a delivery charge of £69 as we couldn't get to Manchester we proceeded with the order and thought we would get our delivery payment back. We were expecting an email or at least a phone call confirming our order but after a few days decided to telephone. A lady took our call and informed us that our settees and stool should be delivered round about the 12th of August. Great we thought but what about the delivery charge ? The lady told us because we had ordered online we couldn't get a refund on that, we explained that we had it in writing free delivery but she said there was nothing she could do. A few weeks afterwards we telephoned again to see if the furniture was still on schedule for the 12th of August we were informed the date had changed to the 11th of August. Great a day early! We moved our old furniture out and awaited delivery. At about noon no furniture had arrived so we telephone the Chesterfield Company to see if they had an approx time of delivery we were stunned when told that we were not down for delivery that day and that it would be the 14th of August we were then told that the haulage company had phoned us and told us that. This did not happen. We had no furniture from the 11th (the supposed delivery date) to the 14th and as my husband is disabled this was not at all satisfactory. The haulage company did phone us the day before delivery to inform us of our 2 hour slot. The furniture was delivered on the 14th, minus our leather cleaning kit. Several phone calls ensued from us to complain about the lack of customer service, wrong delivery dates being given and the free delivery issue plus would we be getting the leather cleaning kit soon. Yes we would be getting the cleaning kit but this takes time to organise we were told ! And no we would not be getting a refund on the delivery. We were never told we had to go to the showroom to get the free delivery which we find preposterous and unjust as we have it in writing. Our furniture looks very nice and we are happy with it such a shame the service is not as good.
Travelling to Salford ,was well worth it.Showroom,products and chooses,were rather surprising and on site manufacture was very reassuring.Luke handled our requirements professsionally,without hassle.Delivery as scheduled.

I purchased a sofa from The Chesterfield Company and a waited delivery. On the day the van broke down and this is where it all went sadly down hill. I had to make several phone calls as to when delivery was eventually going to be made. I don't think I was given enough information as to when I could expect my delivery. Would I use the Chesterfield Company again highly unlikely!
My order was placed online and I received regular updates regarding progress. Delivery was scheduled easily and my furniture was unpacked for me following delivery. Overall the whole service was excellent and due to my having a little more space in my home than originally anticipated…I exchanged a chair for a two seater sofa, again trouble free and easily arranged.
I was worried about buying a product so expensive without sitting on it first. However the sofa was beautifully made if a little firmer than I had imagined . I had no problems with the ordering system or delivery.
We were looking for something a little different, in an art deco style, and in specific sizes. We were impressed by their great website which has loads of information, clear images and helpful sizing information. It helped us finalise on the style we wanted and, although their online colours were reasonably accurate, their sample service is essential in finalising your choice. A confirmatory phone call about the finish help to reassure us that the sample we selected matched the current hide availability. Their communications are good and the order delivered on the exact date we asked for. In fact, the order was ready in only a couple of weeks, rather than the 6 quoted on the website etc. The delivery crew were extremely helpful, cheery and careful. Finally, when we had a minor issue with the sofa bed, a speedy return call sorted it all out in no time. We will be buying from them again. Very highly recommended!
Just worried periodically that it was all a scam when I wasn't able to pay by credit card and I was ordering online. Despite my worries they (2 sofas) have arrived exactly as ordered. Lovely! The delivery men were great. Very professional. Would recommend +++ , but would also suggest that the company start to take credit cards as that somehow feels more secure than the debit card.
