What a terrible experience we had with this company and could never recommend them. Our sofa and footstool arrived with a huge fault on the sofa seat. I then had to take time of work to be home for the Homecare man to visit (weeks later) and assess the sofa. Obviously I couldn’t and didn’t want to use it the way it was. He advised it should go back to the factory as couldn’t be fixed at home. More time passed and another day taken out of my annual leave to be at home to get it picked up by the company. After weeks of then chasing up the company we finally received the sofa back. I opened It in front of the delivery guys so they could be witnesses. The original fault was still there plus the whole leather was now extremely misshapen and stretched and looked awful. There clearly is no Quality Control in the factory to send out such shoddy goods. We were able to refuse the goods and the delivery guys returned it to the factory. We were so disappointed but had enough and demanded our money back. More weeks and many emails later we finally got the money back for the sofa but not the footstool - we kept the footstool even though we no longer needed it because the thought of going back to the company and wasting more of our time and energy was just too much and we decided enough was enough. We have since bought a beautiful leather chesterfield sofa from Stonehouse & Barker which is perfect and just what we wanted - and a far cry from what we had received from The chesterfield company.

We ordered 2 seater sofa and 1.5 seater armchair, having visited the warehouse and tried out a few different models. The pieces are attractive, well made and the most comfortable sofas we have ever had! The staff are really responsive to queries too - great experience ;)

Requested five swatches for the Astoria Leather Sofa at the weekend. Received promptly today with a 43 page brochure. The samples (6 x 2.5 inches) gave me a clear indication of the colour and also the grain which does vary depending on the colour chosen. The quality seems very good, nice and soft to touch.

Great service and beautiful quality leather samples. Due to the huge range of colours and the fact you can only order 6 samples at a time, as none quite match my sofa, I have had to order a second 6 so has delayed my order. It would have been helpful if I could have ordered more the first time. However, beautiful catalogue sent so now considering another sofa, not just a foot stool!

The chair is fantastic but it took much much longer to arrive than I was told. It took around 4-5 months

The quality of the chesterfield we ordered is excellent,but we have given the review 3 stars firstly due to the long drawn out process of making the settee which seemed to go on forever and secondly the incredibly poor customer service we received,with no updates on how the build was going,no return phone calls etc,it was always one way traffic from us!Vast improvements are req with customer relations.

Faulty Goods - Terrible Customer Service Bought 2 leather sofas. Beautiful looking & comfy. However there was a hole in one of the seat cushion covers on the 2.5str and the 2 str had a couple of faults - leather at the bottom edge was torn and leather on the arm had split - all these were noted on delivery back in February. Ended up having 2 Homecare visits as the 1st report was wrong ! More time off work for a second visit. Then told that the 2 str has to go back to the factory as the split on the arm could not be fixed at my home. Was told this would take up to 3 weeks. Chasing my sofa only for emails to go ignored until you chase chase chase - still not got the 2 str back, was promised it would be with the delivery team a week ago - now just been told it will be with the delivery team this coming Monday (5weeks on). Emailed to advise I will be taking this further if I do not get a date of return. Terrible customer service, not been offered any compensation for this awful experience or an apology ! Saga not over yet let’s see if I get my sofa back next week…..if not I will be taking legal advice 100% The Chesterfield Company you have let yourselves down badly - no quality control, poor customer service - you need to respect your customers we keep you in business ! Invest in quality control as my order should never have been delivered in that condition - both sofas !

I have bought a couple of 2 seater chesterfields from this company and they are a work of art and look simply stunning in my rustic cottage. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the length of time it took from ordering in January to them actually being ready in mid May. At time of ordering, I was told between 8 and 10 weeks.

Nice sofas seem to be well made my only gripe was there was a delay in the delivery of the sofas by two weeks so took nearly two and a half months

Good service from being to end friendly and helpful…easy to order over the phone to sort bespoke requirements. Time estimates were good and the slight delay was explained early on. Delivery people went above and beyond so helpful! We also received two free complimentary cushions as an apology for slight delay. Excellent service! The sofa and wing back chairs are wonderful extremely good quality colour spot on and the leather smell is divine! Thank you

After much searching for a sofa, I came back to The Chesterfield Company. It took a while for delivery but it was worth the wait! We took delivery in January and it still smells of leather in the front room 4 months later. Supremely comfortable and incredible workmanship. Take a bow!
