I was in an awful car wreck that was not my fault. The at fault person's insurance company was unwilling to pay for medical expenses. I was in the hospital for over two weeks and the bill was huge. They worked so very hard to get my bills paid and made me feel like everything was going to be okay. After my accident, I was trying to talk to the at fault driver's insurance company and could not get an answer so I went to my insurance agent and he told me to get in touch with the other company. Unfortunately accidents happen, you would like to hope that when they do you are close to your home, but if you travel this is not always the case. And in our particular case we were 1000 miles from home in a motorhome and our tow vehicle which we use for daily driving while we are away from the motorhome was in a serious accident where the individual ran a red light and basically T-boned us, the tow vehicle was totaled my wife had to go to the hospital on a stretcher. Long story short after a couple days we felt like we needed some outside help to make sure that we did not become financially burdened by things that were out of our control, hospital bills, rental cars for temporary transportation since we had no tow vehicle, out of state medical bills which were covered under our PIP medical insurance and some were not because the providers said they would not take medical insurance(which was through our auto insurance) so then we had to use our personal medical insurance, you see it can become very complicated and confusing right off the get-go so we brought in Craig Swapp and Associates to help us out. The first initial contact was with a young lady in the main office (Vanessa Price) she stuck with us the better part of a year maybe longer making sure that all our medical paperwork was in line and that everything was covered that could be covered through our auto medical insurance. Once we got through this phase and most of our medical attention had been met we were then handed to the attorney that was to handle our case back in the state of Washington (Wes Mortensen, Craig Swapp & Assoc.) Wes and Teresa (Paralegal) treated us with the upmost respect and answered all of our questions and got us to the final result, a settlement. We felt that the settlement was fair we felt that Wess had found some guidelines that pertained to California insured residents even though the accident happened in the state of Washington it benefited us more than what we originally expected.
